NZONE Ultimate Jump Brake Burner

Now in its 3rd year and following the huge success of the Brake Burner Race at Coronet Peak, Queenstown, in February 2008, Greg McIntyre of Fat Tyre Adventures is pleased to announce the next Brake Burner Racewill be held on 7 Feb, 2009.

The Brake Burner is a super-D (a combination of downhill and cross-country) endurance mountain bike race for recreational riders where individuals or teams race against the clock to see how many laps they can do in six hours.

The Lowdown: This is a cool social event ! Chainless MTB races are a great equalizer, suitable for first time racers right through to hardened racers. Free wheeling races are big at MTB resorts around the world ‘cause fitness is no excuse and not required !!

This year the race will consist of a run on the downhill and the cross country tracks, with a combined time total score. Come along for a laugh and a good time. Prizes for best fancy dress and other spot prizes up for grabs. Junior and Senior categories.
